Reiki FAQ

Some important FAQ’s about Reiki:

  1.  Reiki is not a religion.
  2.  One can’t receive or give too much Reiki.
  3.  Reiki is offered for “the highest and best good”, it can do no harm or worsen symptoms.
  4.  Reiki goes through clothing, shoes, bandages/casts, blankets and even ice packs.
  5.  Reiki helps the body to rid itself of toxins, it is important that both the practitioner and recipient drink water during and after a session.
  6.  The Reiki practitioner does not take on any of the pain or symptoms from their client during a session.  The client also does not take anything on from the practitioner.
  7.  Reiki does not have to be “hands on” if a client does not wished to be touched.  Reiki energy works just as well with hands slightly off body and also works well from a distance.
  8.  Giving Reiki actually energizes the practitioner, there is no sense of depletion after a session.
  9.  Reiki accumulates energy when the client receives closer treatments.
  10.  Reiki will not completely cure chronic disease and illness, but it will provide comfort and relief from pain and major symptoms.
