Some important FAQ’s about Reiki:
- Reiki is not a religion.
- One can’t receive or give too much Reiki.
- Reiki is offered for “the highest and best good”, it can do no harm or worsen symptoms.
- Reiki goes through clothing, shoes, bandages/casts, blankets and even ice packs.
- Reiki helps the body to rid itself of toxins, it is important that both the practitioner and recipient drink water during and after a session.
- The Reiki practitioner does not take on any of the pain or symptoms from their client during a session. The client also does not take anything on from the practitioner.
- Reiki does not have to be “hands on” if a client does not wished to be touched. Reiki energy works just as well with hands slightly off body and also works well from a distance.
- Giving Reiki actually energizes the practitioner, there is no sense of depletion after a session.
- Reiki accumulates energy when the client receives closer treatments.
- Reiki will not completely cure chronic disease and illness, but it will provide comfort and relief from pain and major symptoms.
